MDRA - Minnesota Distance Running Association

The MDRA sponsors several running events throughout the state of Minnesota. They also sponsor RACELINE which provides up-to-date race information. You can contact the MDRA at the following address: MDRA, 5701 Normandale Blvd., Edina, MN 55424 (612) 927-0983

Northwest Club Run

Northwest Club Run is the running club sponsored by the Northwest Fitness Club which has locations throughout the Twin Cities. Club Run offers a training class. The Club Run Hotline is (612)673-1282.

USA Track & Field/Minnesota

USA T&F/Minnesota is a non-profit organization of athletes and volunteers. Their objective is to promote and preserve the sports of track & field, distance running and race walking as lifetime activities. Special Events

Las Vegas Marathon & Half Marathon, Feb. 8-11

ALARC is taking reservations for a group trip to the Las Vegas Marathon & Half Marathon on February 8 to 11. The trip includes round-trip air fare and three nights hotel. Deadline is December 8th. Info: Call Ted Esau at (612)831-3728.

Regularly Scheduled Events

Run the Dome, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5pm to 8pm

The MDRA sponsors running in the Metrodome from November 14 through March 14, Tuesdays and Thursdays except Thanksgiving and the Tuesday after Christmas. Hours are 5pm to 8pm with a $1 entrance fee. Enter the Dome at Gate D. The distance is 2 1/2 laps per mile on the concrete concourse. For more information call 375-0805.
