The Ragnarians run from Huntington Beach, CA all the way to Coronado Island just over the bridge from San Diego. The Runnerazzi was there to capture some amazing photos of the Southern California Ragnar Relay including an extra special marriage proposal that happened at one of the check points between Cardiff-by-the-Sea and Solana Beach. Mose Mosop Breaks Chicago Marathon Record
Submitted by runningpage (not verified) on Mon, 10/10/2011 - 6:05pmKenya’s Moses Mosop won the Chicago Marathon with a time of 2hr 05mins 37seconds to beat the previous course record of 2hrs 05min 41 set in 2009 by the late Sammy Wanjiru. Russia's Liliya Shobukhova won her third straight Chicago Marathon with a time of 2hrs 18mins 20secs. Ryan Hall had a great day as well. Toronto Marathon Ban - Banning Marathons Because of Road Congestion
Submitted by runningpage (not verified) on Tue, 05/31/2011 - 2:21pmHere we go again, another group of marathon haters start throwing tantrums and their uneducated two cents worth because roads get closed early on a Sunday morning for a few hours for the Goodlife Toronto Marathon. This marathon for those that don't know used to run in October 1 month after the Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon and was recently moved to May by the City of Toronto. Recently a local Toronto newspaper columnist wrote about her experience running the half marathon and talks about road management etc.

Sammy Wanjiru Olympic Gold Marathon Champion Dies

Great Turn Out for 2011 Encinitas 5K Today

Charlie Gamble was the overal men's winner with a time of 15:20:03 followed closely by Mario Fraioli with at time of 15:27 and 3rd place went to Derek Bradley with a time of 15:28. The overall women's 5k winner was Jenna Munguia 17:12:3 , 2nd place went to Claire Rethmeier 17:26.1 and 3rd place was Emily Larrimer 17:42.1 View Runningpage 2011 Encinitas 5K Race Ph

2011 Boston Marathon Results - Geoffrey Mutai Wins 2:03:01 - Caroline Kilel 2:22:36

Geoffrey Mutai wins with a blazing time of 2:03:01 and the women's winner Caroline Kilel with a fast time of 2:22:36 . American Desiree Davila placed 2nd only a few seconds behind. Ryan Hall, Hall averaged 4:46 per mile for 26 miles and placed 4th, pr by over 4 mins and Kara Goucher in the women's division placed 5th. More Boston marathon coverage to follow.
